Partly. Playbooks 03, 05 and 06 assume nothing. Playbooks 01, 02 and 07 assume you are willing to spend real money or real evenings. Each book opens by saying who it is not for, so you can skip what does not fit.
Will this be outdated in six months?+
Parts of it, yes — tool prices and platform rules move constantly. That is why updates are free and why the books are written around the reasoning rather than the interface. When something changes materially, the book gets revised and you get the new PDF.
I already know some of this. Is it still worth it?+
